Module F1: General Average, Salvage and Carriage of Goods by Sea
Module F2: Hull Claims, including Loss of Hire
Module F3: Collision liabilities, ancillary insurances on ships, cargo claims and miscellaneous
Module F4: Practical Adjustment
These modules require a detailed knowledge of their subjects and the pass mark is 75%. The papers for Modules F1, F2, and F3 are of 3 hours duration. The Practical Adjustment paper F4 lasts up to 7 hours and texts of the York Antwerp Rules and standard clauses etc are provided.
Modules F3 and F4 cover wholly or in part elements of module A2, but at a more advanced level.
Upon passing Module F1 and one other Fellowship Module (excluding the practical paper F4), the qualification of Senior Associate will be conferred on the successful candidate.
Please note that with effect from January 2020, the syllabuses for Modules F1, F2 and F3 have been updated - these updated syllabuses will be applicable to the examinations scheduled for March 2021 and subsequently thereafter, until further notice. We can confirm that for Candidates planning to take these Modules in March 2020, there are no alterations to the existing published syllabuses, which will remain available on the website until the completion of the March 2020 examination session.
