AAA Welcomes a New Fellow, Senior Associates and Associates

9 May 2026

Examination successes October 2025-March 2026.

The core purpose of the Association remains to promote professional standards and correct principles in the adjustment of marine claims by ensuring, through examination or otherwise, that those entering into membership possess a high level of expertise.

We are delighted to announce that Alice Duncan has been made a Fellow of the Association. Alice graduated from University College London with a degree in Chemistry before spending several years travelling through South‑East Asia and working in Australia. She joined Richards Hogg Lindley in Liverpool in 2021 and transferred to the London office in 2023. Since 2025, Alice has been on secondment to the firm’s Hong Kong office. She has five years’ experience in the marine insurance sector and has worked on complex cases involving general average, salvage, and collision liability and recovery.

Fellowship is the ultimate accomplishment and requires candidates to have an intricate knowledge of their subject. Qualification is by examination where the pass mark is 75%, plus a practical adjusting paper.

We are equally delighted that Stella Rizioti, Maurene Ayu Setyorini and Anuradha More have all been made Senior Associates of the Association.

Stella has been a marine insurance broker since 2002. Her company, The Guardian, established by her late father Dimitrios Riziotis in 1975, is  one of the oldest marine insurance broking houses in Greece, providing marine insurance services to Greek and international shipowners, shipyards and charterers.  Stella is taking the Fellowship examinations because the depth of  knowledge that these exams entail, is essential for providing insurance and claims services of the highest standard.

Maurene joined Charles Taylor Adjusting as a Trainee Average Adjuster in 2010 at its Jakarta office, where she gained experience in handling a wide range of hull and machinery claims for various shipowner and insurance broker clients in Indonesia. In 2017, she joined PT. Global Internusa Adjusting and was appointed as Executive Director – Marine Hull in 2019, leading the marine hull team.

Anuradha joined United India Insurance Company Limited in 1996, where she gained expertise in  handling underwriting and claims in a variety of insurance segments, including Marine Cargo and Hull Insurance. After opting for voluntary retirement as a Senior Divisional Manager (Scale IV) in 2021, she now works as a claims consultant for various types of marine cargo, and hull insurance claims, engaging with underwriters, brokers, shipowners, and cargo owners in the Indian and international insurance market.
